JMC Associates is a New Mexico based corrections auditing and consulting business operated by Shannon McReynolds.

With twenty-four years experience in corrections, he has testified in U.S. Department of Justice hearings on prison rape, and in 2009 and 2014 spoke at the Advocacy in Action conference in Albuquerque on the topic of sexual assault in prison .  He has also provided testimony in Federal and State district court on PREA, inmate classification, good time laws, segregation placements, and inmate religious rights.  He provided evidence that resulted in the conviction of gang member and accused murderer Charles Aragon.

As Inspector General for the New Mexico Corrections Department, he was assigned as the Department's PREA Coordinator, preparing and scheduling four facilities for their PREA audits in the first year of the audit cycle, GCCF, NENMDF, OCPF, & PNM.  (The audits can be viewed at www.corrections.state.nm.us/oig/oig.html).

Shannon McReynolds has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is a USDOJ certified PREA auditor. He was a licensed private investigator from 2009 to 2011 and taught at the Corrections Officer Training Academy at New Mexico State University in Grants, New Mexico, as well as the New Mexico Corrections Department Academy.  He is also a New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy certified instructor.

In 2000, he was employee of the year at the Penitentiary of New Mexico, and recognized by the New Mexico Correctional Association as employee of the year.  He retired from the New Mexico Corrections Department in August 2014.
